Why should you plan a trip to Turkey? There are s Why should you plan a trip to Turkey?

There are so many reasons to fall in love with it! Turkey has incredible diversity across it and so many amazing sites and regions to explore. Here are some of my favorite things to experience in Turkey:

✨ Cappadocia - Incredible otherworldly landscapes and interesting history. Explore underground cities and cave churches carved into the rocks. Take a hot air balloon ride, or even go horseback riding under them, at sunrise. Hike to humorously named Love Valley to see the giant rocks shaped as…well I’ve seen them referred to in travel writing as fairy chimneys before, but we all know what they resemble🫢😂

✨ Pamukkale - See an amazing example of a Roman theater, Hierapolis, and explore the museum. Sun bathe in the glorious turquoise travertine terraced pools.

✨ Antalya - For picturesque Mediterranean coastline and small beautiful sea side towns.

✨ Ephesus - One of the most well preserved ruins of a Greco-Roman city, including the iconic Library of Celsus.

✨ Turkish coffee - There’s something so satisfying about drinking the delicious coffee out of tiny, adorned cups, especially if it was also made in front of of you on a special hot sand sand table☕️

✨ Istanbul - You could endlessly explore this gigantic city and never see it all. Take a ferry from the European side of the city across the Bosphorus to the Asian side. Explore beautiful palaces, mosques, and churches, and more!

✨ Turkish breakfast - They really know how to do breakfast! Each morning has a huge assortment of delicious things to try. Even better when you can eat it on the rooftop of a cave hotel in Cappadocia enjoying the view😉

These are just a few of the things I loved about Turkey, but by far Turkish hospitality is the best thing I experienced. Would you go?💛

Hidden gem of the Mediterranean✨ You likely won’ Hidden gem of the Mediterranean✨

You likely won’t see this place on any top 10 lists for destinations in the Mediterranean…which means you also won’t see nearly the crowds👀

So where is this underrated destination? It’s Kaş in the Antalya region of Turkey. If you’re looking for a beautiful, warm, and sunny beach destination next summer check out picture perfect Kaş. There are plenty of budget accommodations starting around $13 per night for a dorm and or $30 per night for a private room. I highly recommend it, especially as part of a longer itinerary in Turkey, one of my very favorite countries in the world💛

Have you been? Would you go?
